Meet Your Counselor: Sam Perkins
In 2014, Sam earned a Master of Arts degree in School Counseling from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. He is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with eight years of work experience as a mental health professional.
Sam believes that through our connections with each other, we can make meaning within life's decisions. He sees life and its challenges from a holistic perspective, which involves the interplay of lived experience and response to the brokenness and wholeness in our physical, spiritual, mental, social, and environmental relationships. Sam has worked for nearly eight years as a counselor, providing programs and opportunities that engage people in understanding relationships, anxiety, fears, attaining self-confidence, spiritual healing, and how it impacts our life stories.
Sam’s special interests include counseling adolescents, athletes, adults, families, and couples. Additionally, he works with those struggling with life changes and who work in high-stress careers. His clients include all people regardless of race, age, nationality, gender, marital status, disability, religious or political affiliation, or sexual orientation.
Meet Your Counselor: Renee Amos
As a compassionate and dedicated LCSW, Renee is committed to supporting individuals and families on their journey toward emotional well-being and personal growth. Her goal is to walk along with you towards healing and becoming your authentic self.
Renee provides evidence-based therapy to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns. She works collaboratively with children ages 10+, adolescents and families to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships. During challenging times, she offers support and coping strategies to navigate life’s stressors.

Meet Your Counselor: Mike Wray
Mike believes that finding the right therapist is a lot like the story of Goldilocks; it’s about discovering the fit that feels just right for you and your unique needs. He is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can take meaningful steps toward healing. For Mike, the therapeutic relationship is central to the work, and he values walking alongside clients as they navigate the challenges that bring them to therapy.
Mike is an integrative therapist who takes a holistic, whole-person approach to care. He draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, and SFBT, tailoring his approach to meet each client’s evolving needs. Clients are active partners in the process, working together toward both short-term goals and deeper, long-term growth.
With seven years of experience as a mental health and wellness professional, Mike has worked with adolescents, adults, and groups. He is also a 200-hour trained yoga instructor and thoughtfully incorporates mindfulness and breathwork into his work when appropriate. Mike welcomes clients of all backgrounds and identities and is a committed ally to the LGBTQ+ community. His special interests include men’s issues, culturally affirming therapy for BIPOC individuals, and supporting adolescents.
